Just One More Piece Won't Kill Me
After Finishing Empty, I needed a break from the honeycomb structure. I had picked up The Cake Doctor recipe book years ago and was inspired by all the little photos of cakes and all the interesting names of the cake recipes. But I didn't know how to incorporate it into a structure that made sense with the shape of cakes. After lots of folding and additions along the way, I ended up with a spiraling accordion with over 400 flags. The project just kept getting bigger and bigger!
